The University of Nebraska-based Daugherty Water for Food Global Institute is leading more than 500 water and food security projects in 58 nations.
Each of those projects and papers, along with the more than 110 associated NU faculty fellows, are featured in an online, interactive map.
The interactive map draws from a database named “Unda,” the Latin word for “ripple” or “wave.” The database includes all work by the Water for Food Global Institute, NU faculty fellows, Nebraska Water Center, Water Sciences Laboratory, and associated staff and scholars.
High-level details about the projects, including descriptions, focus areas, country and people involved, are available.
“We are very excited to add this helpful feature to our website,” said Lacey Bodnar, research project manager and the database project leader. “It’s an easy way for anyone to find out about our research efforts and the people who are working to advance water and food security.”
The map is featured on the institute’s “Our Work” webpage.
