Undergraduate students are being sought to serve as mentors for the Dream Big Academy, a summer camp for first-generation high school seniors who want to attend the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. The camp is July 21-27.
The academy’s name is an acronym for develop, risk, empower, achieve, maximize, build, innovate and grow. It provides diverse, upcoming high school seniors with the opportunity to learn about career opportunities through the College of Business. The camp emphasizes leadership, networking skills and success in the business world. The week also includes fun activities across the university, including the chance for students to experience residence hall life and develop new friendships.
The application deadline to serve as a Dream Big mentor is March 2. Learn more about the program online or by sending email to wendy.hunt@unl.edu.
