University of Nebraska's Information Technology Services is implementing an upgrade Aug. 7 that may require reauthentication when first accessing Microsoft 365 applications, and will change the Microsoft 365 login screen and the referenced application on the Duo mobile app notification.
On Aug. 7, you may be prompted to reauthenticate the first time you attempt to use a Microsoft 365 application (Outlook, Word, etc.). If you are utilizing any PowerApps such as PowerBI or PowerAutomate you may also be prompted to separately reauthenticate your connections to them.
When prompted, you will notice a visible difference to the login screen when accessing Microsoft 365 via a web browser. As a reminder, you can be assured you are accessing a university application by logging in directly at portal.office.com. In addition, the application name in the Duo authentication prompt will change to UNL - Microsoft 365.
