The Moran Woodwind Quartet (four woodwinds, no horn) makes its official Glenn Korff School of Music debut at 3 p.m. Nov. 20 in Westbrook Recital Hall, Room 119.

The concert is free and open to the public. It will also be live webcast. Visit the website the day of the performance for the link.

Their program, “Range of Motion,” features a recent work by American composer Alyssa Morris called “Motion,” a fun, rhythmic, challenging work in four movements.

Beginning the program is the melodious quartet by Austrian composer Karl Goepfart, known primarily for early 20th-century choral compositions.

The program also includes a transcription of “Six Cuban Dances,” originally for piano by the 19th-century composer Ignacio Cervantes and two recent original works by American composers — “Rumba” by Chris Allen and “Quatuor Parisienne” (Parisian Quartet) by Charles Fernandez.

The Moran Woodwind Quartet includes Glenn Korff School of Music faculty John Bailey, flute; William McMullen, oboe; Diane Barger, clarinet; and Nathan Koch, bassoon.
