Nate Bock from the University of Nebraska at Omaha's Counseling and Psychological Services office will present the first part of motivational interviewing training from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Sept. 11 in the Nebraska Union's Swanson Auditorium.
Learning the skill of motivational interviewing can be powerful for working with students and helps people move toward action and overcome obstacles.
After attending the first section, participants are encouraged to start using the skills in their daily work. The second session will take place in January and build off of those practical experiences. Participants are encouraged to attend both if possible.
