Several Lincoln area sites have joined forces to encourage families to get out and explore attractions in March and April.

Field Trip Across Lincoln and Beyond is a partnership between the University of Nebraska State Museum-Morrill Hall, Pioneer Park Nature Center, LUX Center for the Arts, International Quilt Museum, Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center, Sheldon Museum of Art, Nebraska History Museum and Great Plains Art Museum. The program encourages families to explore art, nature and history by visiting local museums and outdoor spaces.

Throughout March and April, participants can visit each location and follow activity instructions provided in the official passport. In exchange for completing a task, participants will earn a stamp from the location. After collecting stamps from at least five of the eight sites, participants can enter the prize drawing by sending a photo of the passport to fieldtriplnk@gmail.com. Prizes include art classes, family museum memberships, a wren house, posters, puzzles, bison artwork and more.

Participants may pick up passports at any of the Field Trip Across Lincoln and Beyond sites and Lincoln City Libraries.

The program is free to participate in, though admission costs for museums still apply. Visit each participating location’s website for hours of operation and admission information.
