The Glenn Korff School of Music presents A Musical Theatre Cabaret I and II May 6 and 7.
Musical theatre graduate and undergraduate students will be performing two cabarets each evening at 7:30 and 9 p.m. in Westbrook Music Building, Room 119. The performances are free and open to the public.
“Each cabaret will include a variety of styles of solo vocal music, ranging from jazz to pop to musical theatre, among others, as UNL’s award-winning student singers showcase their talents in this intimate setting, which includes an informal conversation with their audiences,” said Alisa Belflower, coordinator of musical theatre studies. “If you have enjoyed attending a cabaret in New York City or Chicago, these cabarets will be a delight.”
The Musical Theatre Cabaret events are produced and directed by Beflower and feature graduate student Helena Aung on piano.
