ExporTech – a nationally recognized program designed to help small and mid-sized businesses boost their exports – is returning to Nebraska.
The program provides companies with a systematic process for entering or expanding in global markets and connects them with the best international business experts in the region. The fee-based program helps those enrolled develop a peer-reviewed export growth plan. Over a seven-week period, a unique combination of group sessions and individualized coaching is used to quickly enable participants to increase their exports. Companies have generated on average between $500,000 and $700,000 in new or retained export sales, often within six months of completion.
The program, which begins Feb. 23, is offered by the Nebraska Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP), First National Bank of Omaha, Greater Omaha Chamber, Nebraska Business Development Center and U.S. Commercial Service. All sessions will be at the Greater Omaha Chamber, 1301 Harney St. in downtown Omaha. Enrollment is limited to eight companies, with go-to-market financial assistance available to qualifying participants. Applications must be received by 5 p.m. CDT Jan. 26.
