Nebraska’s Office of University Communication, along with Academic Services and Enrollment Management, has received new international recognition for its branding and social media work.
On June 12, the offices were presented with one silver and one bronze 2019 Circle of Excellence Awards from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. The awards recognize outstanding work in advancement services, alumni relations, communications, fundraising and marketing.
University Communication and ASEM won silver in the event’s TV PSA category for their collaboration on the 30-second video that launched the university’s “In Our Grit, Our Glory” branding last August. The video is shown during Husker Athletic events and is meant to unite the university under a common identity.
Nebraska earned the highest recognition among Big Ten universities in the TV PSA category.
University Communication’s Discover Nebraska Instagram story series earned bronze in the Public Relations and Marketing – Best Use of Social Media category. The story, published every Sunday, allows the campus community to engage with news, research, events, music playlists and more.
Stanford was the only major research university to receive higher recognition in the category.
In 2019, CASE received 2,856 entries for consideration in 100 categories by 611 member institutions in 20 countries. Winners were selected on the basis of overall quality, innovation, use of resources and the impact on the institution or its external and internal communities, such as alumni, parents, students, faculty and staff.
