Nine Husker students recently received Creative Nebraska Awards from the American Advertising Federation’s Nebraska chapter for their outstanding creative work. The awards, also known as ADDYs, come in gold and silver.

The awards recognize two divisions: practicing professionals and students. Entries are submitted to the local chapter, where they are scored by a panel of judges.

The Creative Nebraska Awards are the first step in gaining entry to the national AAF competition. Gold awards are automatically submitted to the district competition; silver awards are also eligible. District winners move on to the national competition.

University of Nebraska–Lincoln students won seven gold awards and 10 silver awards, including a judge’s citation. The students represent the College of Journalism and Mass Communications and Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts, with majors in advertising and public relations, and graphic design.
