Students walk to class in Kiewit Hall on Jan. 22, the first day the engineering building opened to campus use.
The University of Nebraska Foundation is highlighting Kiewit Hall and its positive impacts on the College of Engineering community.
Kiewit Hall, a six-story, privately funded building that opened for the spring semester on Jan. 22, serves as the academic hub for engineering education. Located at 17th and Vine streets, it connects five engineering facilities and serves as home to the university’s construction management program.
Lance C. Pérez, dean of the college, said Kiewit Hall is helping the college fulfill Nebraska’s future workforce needs in engineering, computing and construction.
The new building and reactions to it are featured on the NU Foundation’s Only in Nebraska website. Access the full story here.
