Organizational Development and Training offers a robust lineup of July programming, including a leadership application deadline, community-focused initiatives and the annual conference.

Here are key opportunities, deadlines and ways to get involved this month:

Apply to the Staff Leadership Academy

The Staff Leadership Academy is a selective, cohort-based professional development program that equips University of Nebraska–Lincoln staff with the skills, relationships and strategic thinking needed to lead at the organizational level. The academy is currently accepting applications for its next cohort.

Applications are due by the end of the day July 10. Learn more and apply on the Staff Leadership Academy website.

Register a fall NCLUDE learning group

NCLUDE is inviting staff, faculty, students and community members to host learning groups this fall. These small, peer-led groups foster intentional conversations and campuswide connection around community and belonging. Those interested in leading a group can submit a topic on the NCLUDE page.

Apply for the Staff Mentorship Program

The UNL Staff Mentorship Program is accepting applications for both mentors and mentees for the 2026–27 academic year. The program pairs experienced employees with staff seeking career guidance, institutional knowledge and broader campus perspectives. Applications are available on the Staff Mentorship Program website.

NRICH session: Husker Hospitality

This month’s NRICH interactive session runs from 10:30 a.m. to noon July 16. The session focuses on strategies for delivering strong customer service by anticipating needs and exceeding expectations. Participants will leave with practical steps to create positive experiences for students, visitors and colleagues.

The All-Staff Conference brings university employees together for two days of collaborative learning, professional development workshops and networking. Registration and volunteer information are available online.
