The Genealogy Over Lunch group will meet at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 16 in Love Library South, Room 318.
Colin Meiklejohn, assistant professor of biological sciences, will discuss the explosion of commercially available genetics tests designed to inform customers about biological ancestry. He will discuss what the tests measure and how they enable identification of kin and inferences regarding ancestry.
Genealogy over Lunch is a University Libraries group designed to help individuals explore and organize family history. The group meets every third Thursday of the month. It is open to all faculty, staff and students.
Participants are encouraged to bring a lunch.
