The Office of Global Strategies invites all offices, organizations, departments and colleges to host an event in celebration of International Education Week Nov. 18-22.
International Education Week is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment. The annual event also highlights international diversity and promotes the opportunity to experience new cultures. Last year, Nebraska hosted more than 25 events across 20 different campus units for the program.

IEW is celebrated in more than 100 countries worldwide. Global Strategies strongly encourages all campus units to join the programming and host an event.
The Office of Global Strategies will publicize events. If a unit plans to host an event in celebration of IEW, please contact Courtney Van Hoosen at cvanhoosen2@unl.edu to have your event added on the comprehensive web calendar and all promotional materials. Please ensure that final event details are submitted no later than Nov. 13. All units are also welcome to join the celebration by using #IEW2019 and #IEWatUNL on social media posts.
If your office or organization are interested in hosting an event during IEW, please join the Office of Global Strategies for a programming meeting at 1 p.m. Oct. 11 in the Nebraska Union Platte River North room. Email Courtney Van Hoosen at cvanhoosen2@unl.edu for questions.
As events are updated for the 2019 calendar, details will be posted on the IEW website.
