Jordan Opp, photographer with University Communication and Marketing, received three individual awards: first place in sports action for a photograph of Nebraska gymnast Luke James (above); fourth place in portrait for an image of student Izzi Velinsky reflected in the eye of her horse, Leroy (below); and fifth place in sports feature for the anthem image (top). The three category awards helped Opp finish fourth in the association's Photographer of the Year competition.

Izzi Velinsky, a senior graduating with a degree in Animal Science and a member of the Equestrian Team, is reflected in the eye of one of the team’s horses, Leroy, inside the RB Warren Arena inside the Animal Science Complex. The image earned fourth place in the portrait category at the University Photographers' Association of America annual competition.

Aaron Nix, director of visual media, earned third place in the video category for a feature on Admitted Student Day.
