Jennifer PeeksMease will serve as the director of faculty success in the University of Nebraska–Lincoln's Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor. She joins the office following two years as assistant vice chancellor for inclusive leadership and learning in the Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
"I am excited for Jennifer to join our Faculty Affairs team," said Chris Marks, associate vice chancellor for faculty affairs. "Her rich background and experiences combined with her relationships across campus will allow her to continue with the important work of advancing support for faculty and inclusive excellence at our university."
In her previous role, PeeksMease provided strategic vision for inclusive leadership development and education for faculty, staff, students, and community stakeholders; facilitated learning opportunities and leadership programs that foster an inclusive campus culture; and led university-wide collaborative programming, including #NLCUDE, the Learning Council, and the Collective Impact Conference.
She came to UNL from James Madison University, where she served as an associate professor of organizational and cultural communication.
"I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue working collaboratively across UNL. I’m looking forward to building innovative initiatives that support colleges and faculty as we strive toward meaningful impact on our respective fields, our students, and the state of Nebraska,” said PeeksMease.
The director of faculty success reports to the associate vice chancellor for faculty affairs. The position will work closely with colleges, departments, and other campus partners to collaboratively build strategies that strengthen faculty success, community, and belonging throughout the faculty career cycle. The position will focus on efforts that welcome, value, and retain the highest caliber of faculty.
