David Estlund
David Estlund, Lombardo Professor of the Humanities at Brown University, will head a colloquium in the philosophy department discussing his paper, “Approximation, Deviation, and the Use of Political Ideals.”
The colloquium is at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 6 at OldFather Hall, Room 1007.
Estlund teaches moral and political philosophy. His research is on liberalism, justice and democracy.
Participants in the colloquium are expected to have read the paper in advance. Copies will be made available in the philosophy department office at Oldfather Hall, Room 1010.
