Nebraska alumni and friends are invited to an online town hall from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 11, featuring leading voices from the Nebraska Alumni Association, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s LGBTQA+ Center and the Chancellor’s Commission on the Status of Sexual and Gender Identities.
The input of alumni is critical, and the Nebraska Alumni Association welcomes the opportunity for attendees to share how they can leverage the strengths and interests of alumni to create open lines of communication, establish engaging campus events and create an active and successful Pride Alumni Network. This network will be alumni-driven and help plan future initiatives and events.
The Pride Alumni Network will help the alumni association ensure that the needs, voices and opinions of LGBTQIA2S+ alumni are considered. It will also help the organization build a supportive community of Husker alumni. In addition, one of the key tasks for the network is to identify meaningful ways to connect with the university.
Questions about the Pride Alumni Network Town Hall can be directed to Nathan Hé at nhe@huskeralum.org.
