The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is seeking software project ideas for its 2018-2019 senior design course from faculty and staff.
Students enrolled in the senior design course spend two semesters working in teams of five or six on a software project sponsored by members of local industry or university faculty/staff. The course provides students with the hands-on educational and professional experience that comes with contributing to a real-world project.
Previous projects have served a variety of fields and industries and have been developed with many types of technologies and coding languages. Offered project types include mobile apps, data analytics and visualization, web-based systems, gaming technologies, machine learning systems, and more.
All projects are priced at $15,000, which is a fraction of what professional firms typically charge.
As only a limited number of projects can be completed within the course each year, not all submissions will be accepted. Submissions will be reviewed and selected by a panel of course advisers.
Project submissions are due July 27.
To submit a project proposal, complete the online form. For more information, send questions via email to cse-seniordesign@unl.edu.
