A faculty ombud is someone who faculty members can talk to about workplace issues in complete confidence, listens to concerns as a neutral party, and serves as an advocate for fairness and equity. The ombud team provides an additional level of support to faculty members outside of the formal grievance process. Information on types of services provided, along with services not covered and frequently asked questions, are available at facultyombuds.unl.edu.

Faculty can contact PytlikZillig and Franco Cruz at ombuds@unl.edu. In your message, include your name, email address, phone number, the best time you can be reached, and if you have an ombud preference. A personal, confidential appointment will be set up within two working days. To protect privacy, faculty should never include confidential details in any messages for the ombuds.

Information about staff ombuds services is available through human resources.
