Reed
A retirement reception for Leslie Reed, public affairs director with University Communication and Marketing, is 3 to 5 p.m. Dec. 9 at the Lied Commons.
Reed joined the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, her alma mater, in 2013 after a 30-year career with Nebraska newspapers. During her 23 years at the Omaha World-Herald, she covered the legal system, politics and the Nebraska Legislature, as well as agriculture, regional news and higher education.
Reed served in a variety of roles for UNL, from reporter to spokesperson. Her work has been pivotal in amplifying the university's research, teaching and outreach successes in local and national media.
The reception is free and open to the public.
