The UNL College of Business Administration Ethics Program will host the Beyond the Bottom Line Luncheon from noon to 1:15 p.m. Oct. 3 at the Wick Alumni Center.
The luncheon speaker is David Callahan, co-founder of Demos and editor of the Demos blog PolicyShop. Callahan will present “The Slippery Slope: Why ethical short cuts? How to create an honest business world.”
The luncheon is open to the public and counts as one hour of free ethics continuing professional education (CPE) for certified public accountants in attendance.
Individual tickets are $30 or tables of eight can be purchased for $225. Tickets for those wishing to sponsor a student leader are $30. Please RSVP at http://cba.unl.edu/ethicslunch by Sept. 30.
Callahan will also speak at the State Farm Ethics Day Lecture at the Lied Center for Performing Arts from 3:30-4:30 p.m. He will present “Are We a Nation of Cheaters?” at the free lecture, which is open to the public.
