Reservations available until Oct. 2 for LGBTQA+ dinner

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln will celebrate LGBTQA+ Pride Month with a series of events.

On Oct. 12, more than 300 students, faculty, staff, and community leaders will gather for one spectacular evening with visible support, inclusivity, and celebration at the annual LGBTQA+ History Month Dinner in the Cornhusker Marriott Hotel.

Individual tickets as well as tables for four or eight persons can be purchased in advance to this one-of-a-kind celebration event. Reservations will close October 2.

Highlights of the evening include:

  • Pre-dinner social with cash bar

  • Two-course dinner and program, emceed by poet and author Stacey Waite

  • Presentation of the 11th annual Being the Change Award

  • Vocal performance and entertainment by Queer Choir LNK

  • Opportunity to benefit the UNL LGBTQA+ Student Support Endowment

Now in its 20th year, the dinner is organized by the Gender and Sexuality Center and Chancellor’s Commission on the Status of Gender and Sexual Identities.
