Two graduating seniors have completed the requirements of the University Honors Program at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
The August Honors graduates are Jordyn Schommer, a veterinary science major from O’Neill, and LaDaysia Smith, an advertising and public relations major from Lincoln.
To graduate from the Honors Program, students must maintain at least a 3.5 grade-point average, complete a culminating senior project or research thesis, and fulfill other curricular requirements.
“Schommer and Smith were part of the first cohort to enroll at the university during the COVID-19 pandemic, and their completion of the Honors curriculum demonstrates their commitment to academic excellence and impressive resilience,” said Tamy Burnett, director of operations for the Honors Program.
