The University of Nebraska-Lincoln has launched a monthly discussion series designed to provide insight into procurement processes on campus.

The procurement educational discussions - or PED Talks - begin with a 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 8 presentation in the Nebraska Union, Colonial A. Topics include what Procurement Services is, how its services help the university and how the office shares information.

The talks are free and open to the campus community. Topics are based on feedback received in a customer survey held in October.

Pre-registration is appreciated. The talks will also be streamed live. Learn more about the series, including details on how to register or watch online, at https://procurement.unl.edu/ped-talks.

Future PED Talks topics include: contracts; low-dollar purchases (less than $25,000) and eSHOP; high-dollar purchases (more than $25,000) and the formal bid process; inventory, surplus and asset management; prime supplier contracts and total cost of ownership; and information technology procurement. Dates for future PED Talks will be announced at the Feb. 8 session.
