Spring Affair plant sale is April 27


The Nebraska Statewide Arboretum’s annual Spring Affair plant sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 27 at the Lancaster Event Center, 4100 N. 84th Street.

The event will feature more than 800 varieties of plants, two lectures and garden-related vendors. Lectures include:

  • 10 to 10:30 a.m. — “The Suburban Landscape Re-Imagined” by Mark Canney, landscape designer and urban planner
  • 11 to 11:30 a.m. — “From Aronia to Viburnum, the 10 Best Shrubs for the Home Landscape” by Justin Evertson, Green Infrastructure Coordinator for Nebraska Statewide Arboretum

Spring Affair is sponsored by Nebraska Statewide Arboretum in partnership with the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, Nebraska Extension and Extension Master Gardeners. The event serves as an educational tool and fundraising event for the ongoing growth of the arboretum and agronomy and horticulture programs.
