Chancellor Ronnie Green will host an interactive presentation on inclusive excellence from 11 a.m to noon Nov. 7 in the Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center, Unity Room.

The “Check In. Speak Up. Show Up.” event is an opportunity for staff employees to share ideas on how the university can foster an inclusive workplace. Participants will also be able to take the “I Act On” pledge, which a personal commitment to help drive inclusive behavior in everyday life.

The pledge is part of CEO Action for Diversity and Inclusion, the largest chief executive officer-drive commitment in the United States. It is designed to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace. The movement includes a pledge that administrators can sign, signifying that their organization/company is dedicated to creating a workplace environment where diversity and inclusion are valued.

Green signed the CEO Action for Diversity and Inclusion pledge in 2018.

The Nov. 7 “Check In. Speak Up. Show Up.” presentation is the first of four opportunities for staff to directly contribute to the inclusive workplace conversation.

Other presentations in the series and registration details are below. The final three presentations are in the Nebraska Union, Platte River Room. Lunch will be served at each session. Seating is limited and registration is required for each session. The sessions will be led by Green and Karen Kassebaum, director of staff diversity and inclusion.
