To help students better manage demands of end-of-the-semester assignments, projects and tests, the University of Nebraska–Lincoln is expanding study space hours and offering stress-reducing events.
Both the Office of Academic Success and Intercultural Services and the Nebraska Alumni Association will hold student-centric, end-of-the-semester events.
The OASIS De-Stress Fest is April 22-25 in the Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center, Room 155. Hours are 6 to 8:30 p.m. April 22, 24-25, and 6:30 to 9 p.m. April 23. The event features crafts, games, movies and food to help ease the stress of finals.
The Wick Alumni Center will host “Study at the Wick,” April 29-30 and May 1, during finals week. The event will feature a quiet space for students to study with free food and refreshments, including coffee. Therapy dogs will visit the space at 6 p.m. April 30.
Sponsored by the Student Alumni Association, “Study at the Wick” is 8 a.m. to midnight April 29-30 and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 1.
