Student Academy of Audiology sponsoring food drive


The Student Academy of Audiology at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln will host a food drive to benefit the Food Bank of Lincoln beginning Nov. 1.

Four donation barrels will be placed on campus for the food drive. Two barrels will be placed in the Barkley Memorial Center and one in the Home Economics Building. The fourth barrel will be located in Henzlik Hall.

The food drive will run for more than three weeks. The barrels at the Barkley Center will be picked up Nov. 27. The barrels in Home Economics Building and Henzlik Hall will be picked up Nov. 28.

The Food Bank of Lincoln has a list of the most needed food items available on its website. Those items include tuna or canned chicken, canned fruits and vegetables, peanut butter, macaroni and cheese, boxed dinners, 100 percent fruit juices, olive or canola oil, spices, cereal and coffee. In addition, the most needed personal care items include bath tissue, shampoo, toothpaste, soap, and diapers and wipes.
