Student applications for Nebraska’s Undergraduate Creative Activities and Research Experience program are being accepted.
The UCARE program supports undergraduate students engaged in research and creative activities under the guidance of a faculty mentor. Full-time undergraduates who will have completed at least 30 credit hours by May 2018 may be eligible to apply for a UCARE undergraduate research assistantship for summer 2018 or academic year 2018-19. Students from all majors and disciplines are encouraged to apply.
UCARE recipients commit to 10 hours per week of research or creative activity and receive a $2,400 stipend. At the end of the UCARE term, students present their research findings in a campus-wide poster session. Eligibility requirements are available online.
Applications for Summer 2018 will be accepted through 3 p.m. Jan. 19. Applications for academic year 2018-19 will be accepted Feb. 5 to March 9.
