The University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s School of Art, Art History and Design hosts the Clay Club Fall Sale and Raffle and the Fine Art Photo Club Print Sale and Raffle on Dec. 7-8 in Richards Hall.
Hours for both sales are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 7 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 8. The pottery sale is in Richards Hall, Room 118, while the photo sale is in Room 112. Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted at both sales.
In addition, at 8:30 a.m. Dec. 8, there will be a special collector’s tour of all the work in the Clay Club’s sale.
The Clay Club sale will include works of art created by graduate students, undergraduate students, alumni and faculty in the School of Art, Art History and Design. The work represents a broad range of aesthetics, techniques and concepts.
In addition to the sale, there will be a raffle of work donated by students, faculty and select local artists. Tickets for the raffle can be purchased either day. The drawing will be held at 5 p.m. Dec. 8. Participants need not be present to win.
Proceeds from the sale go to the artists, as well as funding the Clay Club. This student-run organization brings in visiting artists to the community and sends students to national clay conferences.
The Fine Art Photo Club’s Fall Print Sale and Raffle will feature work by graduate and undergraduate students working in photography.
Their raffle will include work donated by faculty and graduate students. Raffle tickets are $1 each or six tickets for $5. Proceeds from the sale and raffle will help fund student attendance to the Society for Photographic Education National Conference in the spring.
