Architecture Hall was the scene of a sugar overload. Members of the American Institute of Architecture Students at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln celebrated the end of the semester by testing their gingerbread house-building skills.
"A lot of projects were due this week — mine was due yesterday — so today has just been kind of a day to catch up on sleep and have fun," Audrey Cherek, an architecture major, said.
The students combined the pieces from various kits, putting their own spin on the houses — or mansions — despite some "earthquakes."
