The University of Nebraska–Lincoln is one of 11 universities from around the world chosen for this year’s International District Energy Association Campus Energy Student Video Contest.
Biological systems engineering students in a course taught by John Hays, extension educator, created the three-minute video this fall as part of their curriculum. The video showcases the university’s Central Renewable Energy System, or CRES plant, that helps power campus and turn water into heat.
Members of the campus community can help Nebraska win the international contest and receive recognition for sustainable energy by liking or sharing the video below by 5 p.m. on Dec. 13.
