The University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s School of Art, Art History and Design presents the work of graduating studio art students in the Fall 2025 Studio Art Capstone Exhibition, which will run Dec. 15-19 in the Eisentrager-Howard Gallery.
These biannual capstone exhibitions are held at the end of the fall and spring semesters and present the work of each semester’s graduating Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Fine Arts seniors in studio art and graphic design as a culmination of their coursework and exploration.
Regular gallery hours are noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Admission is free. A closing reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Dec. 19 in the gallery.
The following students are participating in this year’s Studio Art Capstone Exhibition:
- Lola Lafficher Agena, B.F.A., sculpture, Lincoln.
- Nathan Anderson, B.F.A., drawing, Omaha.
- Melissa Hewitt, B.F.A., painting, Ida Grove, Iowa.
- Elle Marroquin, B.F.A., drawing, Lincoln.
- Lim Puoch, B.F.A., painting, Lincoln.
- Ethan Schepers, B.A., photography, Lincoln.
- Carli Sorge, B.F.A., sculpture, Lincoln.
Sorge said the Capstone Exhibition captures a visual display of their most highly developed works throughout their time in the School of Art, Art History and Design.
“The show displays each person’s unique experience in our shared world with a wide array of subject matter and style,” Sorge said. “For all of us, this ‘finally’ at UNL is just the beginning of each of our art careers.”
Schepers said the exhibition highlights the power of collaboration and mutual support among artists.
“This exhibition is a celebration of what can happen when artists support each other,” Schepers said. “Our small capstone group has created a space of encouragement, critique and care, and that foundation has shaped not only the work you’ll see here, but the futures we’re building beyond it. I’m so proud of the beauty in everyone’s practice and cannot wait to share it in this exhibition.”
With only seven artists participating, Anderson said this year’s exhibition offers a more expansive look at each artist’s practice.
The Eisentrager-Howard Gallery is located on the first floor of Richards Hall at Stadium Drive and T streets. Admission to the gallery is free and open to the public.
