The Minority Health Disparities Initiative Conversation Series will feature Elliot Tebbe, assistant professor of educational psychology, in a noon March 28 talk in the Nebraska Union, Colonial Rooms A and B.
The event is free and open to the public. Lunch will be provided. Registration, due by March 18, is required.
In his presentation, Tebbe will focus on trans and gender-diverse health and wellbeing. He will provide a brief overview of the systematic challenges trans and gender diverse individuals face in Nebraska. The talk will include an examination of health outcomes and barriers to accessing appropriate trans-affirmative health services, as well as individual factors that promote and compromise wellbeing.
Tebbe will also lead a discussion with participants, exploring how to best address critical health outcomes and barriers through advocacy, education and continued research.
