Two new films, “The Mustang” and “Roll Red Roll,” open April 19 at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center.
“The Mustang”
“The Mustang” follows Roman Coleman, a violent convict imprisoned in Nevada. Coleman is given a second chance at life, and finds new humanity within himself, when he is tasked to train wild mustangs as part of an exclusive rehabilitation program.
“The Mustang” shows through May 2. It is rated R for language, some violence and drug content.
“Roll Red Roll”
“Roll Red Roll” is a true-crime documentary that sheds new light on the sexual assault case in Steubenville, Ohio that drew national attention six years ago. Though many details are known about the case, “Roll Red Roll” focuses on evidence found by crime blogger Alex Goddard that asks powerful questions about the culture surrounding social media and teen bullying.
“Roll Red Roll” shows through April 25.
