The “Act a Lady” production is April 18-21 in the Lab Theatre, on the third floor of the Temple Building.
Theatrix, the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s student-led theatre company, presents “Act a Lady,” April 18-21 in the Lab Theatre, on the third floor of the Temple Building.
In the play storyline, men of a small, Prohibition-era town decide to put on a play dressed in “fancy-type, women-type clothes.” The play affects the whole community as gender lines blur, eyebrows raise, identities explode, and life is forever changed. The production is a thoughtful and hilarious Midwestern fable about gender performance.
Directed by senior Gage Boardman, performances are 7:30 p.m. April 18-20 at 7:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. April 21.
Tickets are available online only.
