Third class of NGTC student fellows announced

summer

The Nebraska Governance and Technology Center has announced its third class of student fellows. The student fellows are drawn from graduate programs across the University of Nebraska–Lincoln; these programs include political science, business, chemistry, law and more. NGTC Student Fellows will enact an interdisciplinary approach to the challenges facing technology in society.

During the year, the NGTC will host biweekly in-person workshops taught by center faculty and will feature guest scholars presenting on their current work with a discussion. Additionally, student fellows will form multidisciplinary teams tasked with investigating a technology-related topic of their choosing. Research accumulated during the fall semester will culminate into a group-led project that will aid in the producing of an episode of the Center’s podcast, Tech Refactored, during the spring semester. A further goal of the program is to create a community of scholars that can provide opportunities for further collaboration; to that end, there are social events throughout the year that provide networking opportunities.
