The College of Journalism and Mass Communications is marking 50 years of 90.3 KRNU with a 7 p.m. June 11 celebration at the Bourbon Theater, 1415 O St.
The event will feature a party hosted by Lincoln DJ D-Wayne Taylor and live music from The Garage Band. Tickets are available here.
The station turned 50 in 2020, but the peak of the global pandemic delayed the celebration. KRNU provides opportunities for students from across the university to hone broadcast, radio and media production skills in a real radio station. The station would not be possible without its network of supporters.
Proceeds from the celebration will be used to support a new tower and antenna for 90.3 KRNU. Additional ways to support the project as well as the student production assistants who keep the station live and on the air, include:
Donate to the KRNU Excellence fund
Purchase KRNU merchandise to show pride in the station.
