Full-time undergraduate students who have completed at least 30 credit hours by May are eligible to apply for the Undergraduate Creative Activities and Research Experience research assistantship for the 2017-2018 academic year.
The UCARE program supports undergraduate work with faculty members engaged in research and creative activities at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Academic year 2017-2018 applications will be accepted online from through March 3. Students considering graduate school are especially encouraged to apply.

UCARE recipients commit to 10 hours per week of research or creative activity and receive a $2400 stipend. At the end of the academic year, students present their research findings in a poster session at the annual Spring Research Fair.
Skill-building seminars on topics like graduate school preparation and professional presentation skills are offered throughout the year to enhance the UCARE experience.
