Award-winning author, scientist and environmental policy expert Anna Farro Henderson will visit the University of Nebraska–Lincoln for a public lecture and book signing at 6 p.m. April 23 in the Nebraska Union’s Swanson Auditorium.
Henderson’s talk, “Communicating Science; Learnings from Politics and Public Art,” will explore how her experiences in science, politics and motherhood have shaped her approach to public engagement.
The event is part of the Norman D. Smith Public Understanding of Science lecture series, hosted by the College of Arts and Sciences’ Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences. It is co-sponsored by the university’s Community Climate Resilience Institute planning team.
Following the lecture, Henderson will sign copies of her book, “Core Samples: A Climate Scientist’s Experiments in Politics and Motherhood.” The event is free and open to the public.
