The University of Nebraska has set its mileage reimbursement rate at 70 cents per mile, effective Jan. 13. The rate matches the current standard set by the federal government.
Travel occurring before Jan. 13 will be reimbursed at the previous rate, with the Firefly travel application automatically adjusting based on date of travel. For Blanket Travel Authorization reports, users must create separate expense lines for travel before and after the Jan. 13 rate change.
For existing mileage entries submitted for travel on or after Jan. 13, it is recommended to delete and re-add the expense line to ensure the correct reimbursement rate is applied.
