Upcoming workshops share best practices for disclosure responses

It’s beneficial to prepare for and have information before a disclosure of sexual misconduct happens, and specialized workshops offered in September from Institutional Equity and Compliance will share best practices for disclosure response.

The in-person workshops allow participants to explore further the information presented in the online sexual misconduct training program required for all faculty, staff and students. The workshops, “Sexual Misconduct Response for Faculty and Staff,” and “Sexual Misconduct Response for Graduate Students,” align with the university’s commitments to keep the campus safe, prevent sexual misconduct in all its forms, and support any person who has been subjected to sexual misconduct.

Each workshop lasts 75 minutes and will be offered regularly throughout the academic year. The September sessions are Sept. 1 and 21 for graduate assistants, and Sept. 20 for faculty and staff. Registration for the workshops is available here for faculty and staff, or here for graduate assistants.
