A University of Nebraska–Lincoln Viticulture Program workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 20 at Soaring Wings Vineyard in Springfield, Nebraska.
The workshop will feature Richard Smart, an Australian viticulturalist and leading global consultant on viticulture methods. Smart is considered responsible for revolutionizing grape growing due to his work on canopy management techniques.
Smart will discuss canopy management for better yields and quality, trunk disease and Accentuated Cut Edges. He will lead hands-on examinations of trunk disease and demonstrations of canopy management after the lunch break.
Cost for the workshop is $35 for first person from an enterprise and $25 per additional person from the same enterprise or family. Registration includes lunch.
