“We the Animals,” a coming-of-age tale of three siblings fighting to survive in an embattled household, opens Oct. 26 at the Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center.
The film follows Manny, Joel, and Jonah as they cope with their parents’ volatile relationship and constant family upheaval. Their home life bonds them together, but also tears them apart, as they learn to fend for themselves and escape reality.
“We the Animals” is rated R for strong sexual content, nudity, language, and some underage drug and alcohol use.
Continuing at the Ross is “The Old Man and the Gun,” which plays through Nov. 1.
Show times are available at the Ross website or by calling the film information line at 402-472-5353.
