How to Engage in Healthy Conflict is a webinar and discussion on Oct. 10, 1-3 p.m. in Hawks Hall Room 231. Learn early how to master the skill of healthy conflict so that you can effectively manage conflicts as they arise throughout your career, including how to decide when to push back and when to pull back; the difference between healthy and unhealthy conflict; and how to get clear about the role that power plays in resolving departmental conflicts. Also learn ten tips for engaging in healthy conflict. Register by Oct. 7.
Preparing for Parenthood on the Tenure Clock is a webinar and discussion on Oct. 30, 1-3 p.m. in the Nebraska East Union Goldenrod/Sunflower Room. Learn how to plan and strategize for building a solid tenure case and a family life at the same time. This webinar is designed for all academics who plan to have children, especially those working toward tenure. Register by Oct. 25.
Fall 2019 14-Day Writing Challenge is an opportunity to experiment with daily writing, online community, and supportive accountability. Commit to 30 minutes of writing and 5 minutes of support for other participants in the challenge between Oct 28 and Nov 10. Register by Oct. 24.
