The Glenn Korff School of Music Jazz Singers and the Jazz Orchestra will perform a program of music from throughout the past century, including masterpieces from the Great American Songbook and contemporary marvels by young composers, at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 12 from Kimball Recital Hall.
No in-person audience will be allowed, however, the performance will be live-streamed on the NET website.
“What Could Be, What Is” will explore the connection between possibility and reality, with music that celebrates the world of its composer alongside music that dreams up a future, whether glorious or grim. The program will feature new arrangements by ensemble directors David von Kampen and Gregory Simon, as well as music by Rogers/Hart, Sarah Jarosz, Omar Thomas, Radiohead and much more.
