Due to anticipated frigid temperatures, the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s saliva-based COVID-19 testing is moving indoors Feb. 11-13.
The saliva-based re-entry testing will be available Feb. 11-13 in the Nebraska Union Ballroom, Campus Rec Center (enter through the Coliseum’s west doors) and Nebraska East Union third floor (Arbor and Prairie suites). Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Feb. 11-12, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Feb. 13. All COVID-19 protection protocols — including use of facial coverings, maintaining social distancing and hand cleansing — are required.
As all outdoor sites for the saliva-based testing will be closed Feb. 11-14, any appointments planned during that time must be rescheduled. No saliva-based testing will be offered on campus Feb. 14.
A saliva-based testing option will be available daily inside each of the university’s residence halls and test kits will be available in all Greek houses. Specific details on these options will be announced via email to those students.
Complete details on the university’s saliva-based re-entry testing program are available here.
Testing for students, instructors and staff who are showing symptoms or suspect exposure is available on campus through the TestNebraska site (east of The Courtyards residence hall) on 17th Street between R and Vine Streets, and at the University Health Center. Learn more about on demand, nasal-based testing here.
Any additional changes to testing will be announced and updated on the university’s COVID-19 response website.
