Proposals are being sought for the 2017 Women Advance IT leadership conference, which is Oct. 18-19 at Nebraska Innovation Campus. The deadline to submit a proposal is March 31.
Program tracks for the annual conference include: leadership, diversity, women in IT and emerging technologies. The two-day event is seeking presentations on how change is made in organizations, companies and campuses.
Programs and speakers will encourage inclusiveness and continued education in improving diversity, growing future leaders and adding more women in information technology.
“We’re really building on two years of conference momentum,” said Marcia Dority Baker, conference co-chair. “We first started this theme in 2015 and it really took off with last year’s ‘Opportunity that Scales: Women Advancing the Future of Information Technology in Higher Education’ conference. We’ve attracted a lot of interest from higher ed across the country and throughout Nebraska.”
Women Advance IT is co-sponsored by Information Technology Services at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and University of Nebraska Online Worldwide.
