A free self-defense workshop for women, hosted by the University of Nebraska Office Professionals Association and Lincoln Police Department, will be held from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. May 8 in the Facilities Management Shops auditorium, Room 102.
The workshop is open to all staff at Nebraska. Attendees will train hands-on with an officer from the Lincoln Police Department and learn a variety of self-defense and safety tactics.
Registration for the workshop is due at 5 p.m. May 3. Space is limited to 40 people.
Parking will be available in the A lots west of 22nd Street. Further instructions on how to reach the auditorium are provided with registration.
